Your time and expertise is of huge value to us and—most importantly—to the thousands of people we serve. Volunteers with California Human Development (CHD) deliver quality services to our clients, expanding resources and helping us to reach more individuals.
Dozens of volunteers work at sites across CHD’s Northern California footprint. They play an integral role in our fight against poverty, assisting those who struggle most in our communities and creating opportunities for a better world.

Board Member: Set policies and guide CHD’s strategic direction.
Clerical Assist with large mailings, data entry, and other varied duties.
Employment Services: Match employers with potential employees, and serve as job counselors and workshop facilitators.
Fundraising/Special Events: Share and further our mission with the community connection and help raise funds and other resources.
Receptionist: Greet visitors, answer telephones, and light clerical duties.
Maintenance/Handyman: Help keep our facilities in top-notch order.
