California Human Development (CHD) is a non-profit organization waging the War on Poverty for more than 50 years. Inspired in service to our state’s farmworkers, today CHD serves people of low income from many walks of life—giving 25,000 people a year in 31 northern California counties a hand up to the American Dream.

September, New Beginnings and Serving our Communities in the Field

Take a peek into September with CHD!

September was a time of growth and being in the community for California Human Development. Our team in San Joaquin was able to get out into the local community and support the area’s farmworkers through supplies distributions. These workers are essential and support the infrastructure of not just California, but our country overall. August at California Human Development

From mask distributions to celebrating our truck driving students’ successes, come take a look at what went on at CHD in August!

On Friday, August 14th, California Human Development & La Cooperativa came together to provide COVID-19 awareness resource packages with facemasks to farmworkers in Nothern California near Woodland. These farmworkers are essential workers and we’re proud to support them by ensuring they can stay healthy and have access to information and resources should they need them. READ MORE →
