Named in honor of the late Jayne Ruiz, an inspirational CHD board member and director, Jayne Ruiz Leadership Training encourages new leaders within the corporate family of California Human Development. This annual four day retreat empowers staff to develop the qualities of good leadership that are essential for career and organizational success. All employees who have completed the 60 day introductory period are invited and encouraged to apply. Participants are chosen from a cross-representation of positions, programs and offices throughout CHD. Goal setting, teamwork, conflict resolution and communication strategies are just a few of the skills participants develop. Led by certified job coach Rita Sever and with a one-day team building field trip, participants learn to work together and to be leaders. And, last but not least, the location for this life-changing experience is spectacular! Bishop’s Ranch in the hills above Healdsburg offers an amazing setting to relax and reflect.
